Ford Middle East is celebrating a remarkable year of sales in 2023, marking a substantial 63% increase over 2022 across the region. The outstanding performance was driven by key vehicles such as the Ford Territory, Ford Taurus, Ford F-150, and Ford Expedition.
Saudi Arabia played a pivotal role in Ford's success, experiencing a remarkable 77% year-on-year increase in sales. The Ford Territory emerged as the top-selling small SUV in its inaugural year, while the Ford Taurus maintained its position as the second-best-selling vehicle in its segment. This achievement positioned Ford as the fastest-growing automotive brand in the kingdom.
Ravi Ravichandran, President of Ford Middle East, stated, "In many ways, 2023 was a milestone year for Ford in the Middle East. This is not the result of one year, but the efforts made over two; we developed a strong strategy for our product offerings, working hand in glove with our distributor partners and taking care of our team, all of which contributed to our record sales across the region – and Saudi Arabia in particular."
Ford Middle East achieved strong sales growth in Kuwait and the UAE as well, with retail figures surging by an impressive 52% over 2022.
Looking ahead to 2024, Ford Middle East aims to build on its success by driving further growth in sales and parts revenue. The company plans to continue the rollout of the Ford Guest Experience in collaboration with distributor partners, focusing on redefining service standards and treating customers like family. The vision for the future also includes the introduction of electric vehicles to the region in 2025, along with the flawless launches of new models such as the All-New Lincoln Nautilus, Ford Mustang, Ford F-150, Ford Taurus Hybrid, Ford Explorer, and Lincoln Aviator.
Ravichandran expressed gratitude to distributor partners, Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies and Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, for their hard work in making 2023 a success in Saudi Arabia and looked forward to even greater achievements in 2024.
