New York, September 18, 2023, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met with his American and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) counterparts today. On the margins of the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City, ministers from GCC countries met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and GCC Secretary-General Jassem Al-Badaiwi. At this summit, participants reviewed regional and international issues and measures taken to improve relations between the GCC countries and the United States. Both parties' efforts toward achieving sustainable development goals were reviewed, and the significance of improving collaborative coordination to enhance international security and peace was highlighted.
Reema bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi ambassador to the United States, and Abdulrahman Al-Dawood, the director-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were among those there.
