On June 1, 2024, Wang Yi, the foreign minister of China, met with Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, in Beijing.
The current status of relations between Saudi Arabia and China was discussed, along with strategies to enhance ties in other domains.
The two met to discuss how they could work further and cooperate in both the bilateral and multilateral levels. They discussed the current state of the world and reviewed the processes being pursued for addressing global issues.

It should be highlighted that the present relations between China and Saudi Arabia were discussed, together with different ways of further developing those relations in various areas. They shared views on the necessity of enhancement of cooperation between the bilateral and multilateral bodies on issues of mutual interest. The parties discussed recent domestic and global events as well as the efforts that are being taken at this time to address these issues.
