Foreign Ministry Makkah Region Branch Director General Receives First Secretary of Maldives Consulate in Jeddah

Fareed Al-Shehri, Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Makkah Region, met with Mohamed Rameez, First Secretary at the Consulate of the Maldives in Jeddah, for cordial discussions.

Jeddah, December 01, 2024 – Fareed Al-Shehri, the Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Makkah Region, today welcomed Mohamed Rameez, the First Secretary at the Consulate of the Maldives in Jeddah, for a productive and cordial meeting. The two officials engaged in constructive discussions aimed at further strengthening the ties between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives.


The discussions focused on a range of topics related to bilateral cooperation, including enhancing diplomatic relations, fostering trade partnerships, and promoting cultural exchange between the two nations. Both sides expressed their desire to explore new avenues for collaboration, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as tourism, education, and regional stability.


This meeting reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to deepen its diplomatic engagement with countries in the Indian Ocean region and beyond.
