Riyadh, October 27, 2024 — The Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2024 witnessed an exciting evening on its eighth night as four falcons fetched impressive bids, bringing in a total of SAR485,000. The auction, held at the Saudi Falcons Club headquarters in Malham and set to continue until November 15, celebrates the Kingdom’s rich heritage of falconry, a tradition deeply rooted in Saudi culture.
The evening opened with spirited bidding for a falcon owned by falconer Salem Al-Harbi, whose bird generated intense interest. The bidding began at SAR80,000, quickly climbing to an impressive final price of SAR150,000. The auction’s second falcon, originating from east Yanbu and owned by Mohammed Al-Jahni, was sold for SAR83,000, further showcasing the high demand and enthusiasm for this traditional sport.
Next up was a falcon from Hail, owned by Naif and Mubarak Al-Rashedi. Bidding for this bird began at SAR60,000 and ultimately closed at SAR132,000. The auction’s final falcon, hailing from Mastoura and owned by Muhannad Al-Balawi, started at SAR50,000 before reaching SAR120,000.
The Saudi Falcons Club Auction is regarded as the largest official falcon auction in Saudi Arabia, attracting falconers, collectors, and enthusiasts from across the region.
