The National Center for Meteorology predicts strong winds in Makkah and Madinah that will stir up dust, making it harder to see the sea.
There is a chance of rain, thunderstorms, and strong gusts in some areas of the Asir, Jazan, and Al-Baha highlands.
There will be high maximum temperatures in the eastern area.
"Riyadh, June 1, 2024." The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) forecasts that active dust-stirring winds will continue to persist, which will hamper horizontal visibility over certain areas of Makkah and Madinah, notably along the sea. Within certain regions of the Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha highlands, there is still the possibility of rain, thunderclouds, and strong winds forming. The eastern region should continue to have high maximum temperatures. The report describes the surface winds in the Red Sea as northerly to northwesterly, with speeds ranging from twenty to forty kilometers per hour in the south, north, and center of the sea, respectively. When it comes to the Arabian Gulf, the surface winds blow from northeast to northwest at speeds of 10 to 35 kilometers per hour in the north and center, and from northeast to southeast at speeds of 8 to 18 kilometers per hour in the south.
