Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), visited the first edition of the Egypt International Airshow on September 3-5, 2024, at El Alamein International Airport, accompanied by Major General Pilot Talal Al-Ghamdi and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini.
During the visit, Al-Duailej and his delegation explored various pavilions showcasing advancements in civil and military aviation, space technologies, and innovations in aircraft maintenance and defense systems, with exhibits from companies like Saudia Group, SAMI, Boeing, and COMAC.
Al-Duailej also met with Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Dr. Sameh El-Hefny to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation and investment opportunities in air transport, and held talks with AviLease CEO Edward O'Byrne about future collaboration.

The airshow, which is taking place from September 3 to 5, 2024, at El Alamein International Airport, marks a significant event in the aviation industry calendar.
During their visit, Al-Duailej and his delegation conducted an extensive tour of the various exhibition pavilions. They explored a wide array of advancements in civil and military aviation, as well as innovations in space technologies. The tour provided an opportunity to view the latest products, technologies, and services offered by leading companies in the aviation sector. Notable participants included the Saudia Group, Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), the Royal Saudi Air Force, Korea Aerospace Industries, Boeing, and the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC). The showcased technologies highlighted advancements in aircraft maintenance, repair, advanced training, and defense systems.
In addition to exploring the exhibitions, Al-Duailej engaged in key discussions on the sidelines of the event. He met with Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation, to discuss mutual interests and explore avenues for enhancing cooperation in civil aviation.
