GAIA invests 160 million in 120 startups

RIYADH - In a groundbreaking collaboration, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) have joined forces with New Native Inc. to bolster and empower start-ups focused on generative artificial intelligence (AI). This strategic partnership aims to enhance and expedite the growth of these innovative ventures, propelling them towards successful market penetration. Notably, GAIA, the generative AI accelerator, has played a pivotal role in this initiative, providing invaluable support to these start-ups.


In a remarkable display of technological prowess, GAIA, the renowned organization, has successfully organized and executed four groundbreaking AI Hackathons. These events have attracted an impressive number of over 7,000 participants and skilled AI developers, who collectively worked their magic to produce a staggering total of 185 innovative prototypes. In a groundbreaking development, the program budget has soared to an impressive USD 30 million, signaling a resolute commitment to foster innovation in the realm of generative AI. With an ambitious objective in mind, this substantial investment seeks to empower a staggering 300 startups, propelling them towards the forefront of this cutting-edge field.

In a groundbreaking move, the highly anticipated GAIA accelerator made its debut in July 2023, attracting a total of 15 promising startups. With an impressive investment fund valued at a staggering USD 160 million, GAIA accelerator aims to support and nurture a whopping 120 companies in their early stages. What sets GAIA apart is its utilization of cutting-edge generative AI techniques, allowing it to automatically monitor and track the progress of these startups. This innovative approach is set to revolutionize the way accelerators operate and provide invaluable insights into the growth and development of these budding enterprises.
