Riyadh, August 28, 2023, The General Authority of Military Industry (GAMI), in conjunction with the Ministry of Defense, and the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), a fully owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), are proud to announce their recent efforts to strengthen the Saudi defense industries through the opening of a new production line for software-defined multi-band radio systems (SDRs). These market-leading radio systems will be produced locally in Riyadh on this production line, which is being set up at SAMI-AEC, a national leader for decades in the field of electronic manufacturing capabilities, in partnership with L3Harris Technologies and the SAMIL3Harris Joint Venture.
