On September 17, 2024, a delegation from the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), led by Dr. Fahad Aldossari, participated in the 11th meeting of the Standing Committee for Statistical Affairs in Muscat, Oman. The committee focuses on improving statistical collaboration among Gulf countries, supporting sustainable development, and sharing expertise. Discussions included enhancing cooperation among GCC members to advance statistical practices, mechanisms for better data exchange, and tackling common challenges. Dr. Aldossari emphasized the importance of GCC cooperation in expanding the scope of effective statistical collaboration and commended the support provided by GCC leaders to their statistical offices.
