Riyadh, March 28, 2024, The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) has released its latest statistics on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for the fourth quarter of 2023, revealing significant growth in FDI inflows and outflows in Saudi Arabia.
According to the report issued today, the net flow of FDI into Saudi Arabia amounted to over SAR13 billion, marking a notable increase of 16.0% compared to the third quarter of the same year, which recorded SAR11 billion.
Furthermore, the total FDI in the Kingdom's economy for the fourth quarter of 2023 reached approximately SAR19 billion, indicating a robust increase of 16.6% compared to the previous quarter, which totaled SAR16 billion.
The statistics also highlight the FDI outflows, which amounted to approximately SAR6 billion, reflecting an increase of 17.6% compared to SAR5 billion in the third quarter.
These figures underscore the growing confidence of investors in Saudi Arabia's economy, as evidenced by the significant rise in both FDI inflows and outflows during the fourth quarter of 2023. Such positive trends are indicative of a conducive investment environment and reflect the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment and stimulate economic growth.
