Riyadh, September 06, 2023, The 5th Permanent Ministerial Preparatory Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Economic and Development Affairs Authority, which was held today in Salalah, Oman, saw the active participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ministers from the GCC nations attended the meeting with Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim, the Kingdom's Minister of Economy and Planning. Discussions about common interests in economic and development issues were the main focus of the meeting, with the overall objective being to strengthen the economic ties between the Gulf countries. The second session of the Economic and Development Affairs Authority, the governance of joint Gulf economic and development initiatives, and the plan for initiatives and economic unity projects leading up to 2025 were among the major topics on the agenda.
Distinguished dignitaries including Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalif, the Minister of Finance and National Economy of Bahrain, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, the Minister of Finance of Qatar, and Talal Al-Nemes, the Acting Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), presided over the meeting.
