GCC Secretary-General Albudaiwi discusses issues with NATO Secretary-General Stoltenberg in call

Riyadh, December 13, 2023, On Tuesday, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, engaged in a phone call with the Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg. The discussion encompassed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, as well as avenues for bolstering bilateral relations and cooperation between the GCC General-Secretariat and NATO.

During the call, the GCC Secretary-General addressed a spectrum of regional and global issues, with a particular focus on the developments in the Gaza Strip. He provided Stoltenberg with insights into the GCC's perspective on the matter, emphasizing the highly perilous consequences stemming from the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people in Gaza. These violations were underscored as having significant implications on regional security.

The Secretary-General highlighted the urgency of increasing pressure on the Israeli occupation to cease its actions against innocent civilians in Gaza. He emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire and urged for the facilitation of humanitarian and relief assistance to the Gaza Strip to address the pressing needs of the Palestinian people.
