New York, September 22, 2023, On the fringes of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 78) in New York, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Albudaiwi, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden, Tobias Billström. The joint ministerial conference between the GCC and the EU, scheduled to take place in the Sultanate of Oman in October, was one of many subjects discussed during the meeting. In order to further their shared objectives and interests, they also explored ways that Sweden and the GCC member nations may cooperate.
