GCC Secretary General condemns Israel's invasion plan for Rafah city

Riyadh, February 10, 2024, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), has vehemently denounced and rejected Israel's declared plans to invade the city of Rafah, following the forced displacement of its civilian population.

Albudaiwi emphasized that such actions by Israel constitute flagrant violations of international law and humanitarian conventions, posing a grave threat to regional security and stability while exacerbating the suffering of the Palestinian people.

In response to these concerning developments, Albudaiwi called upon the international community to unite in solidarity, confronting Israel's aggressive intentions with a collective effort grounded in principles of peace, justice, and human dignity.

He underscored the unwavering commitment of GCC countries to support the Palestinian cause and uphold the rights of the Palestinian people, advocating for joint endeavors with global partners to restore rightful rights and achieve a just and sustainable peace in the region.
