Perth, February 10, 2024, Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), convened today with Busadee Santipitaks, the Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Foreign Ministry of Thailand, in Perth, Australia. This meeting took place on the sidelines of Albudaiwi's attendance at the 7th Indian Ocean Conference.
The discussions centered on avenues to bolster the relationship between the GCC and Thailand, with particular emphasis on enhancing collaboration in tourism, trade, investment, and medical treatment. Additionally, both parties exchanged perspectives on various regional and global matters of mutual concern.
