Munich, February 16, 2024, The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, has underscored the imperative for the global community to mobilize comprehensive efforts aimed at resolving the crisis in the Gaza Strip.
Albudaiwi's remarks were delivered during a meeting with Federal Republic of Germany Minister of State, Dr. Tobias Lindner, on Friday in Munich, Germany. This gathering occurred on the sidelines of his participation in the 60th Munich Security Conference.
The dire situation unfolding in the Gaza Strip took center stage during the discussion. Albudaiwi emphasized the critical role of Israel's partners and allies in pressuring the nation to halt its military operations targeting innocent civilians in Gaza—a stance he argued violates established international laws, treaties, and agreements. Additionally, he underscored the urgent need for facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
Moreover, Albudaiwi highlighted the mutual acknowledgment of various forthcoming meetings and milestones in GCC-European relations slated for 2024. These anticipated events are anticipated to catalyze advancements in bilateral relations across all spheres.
