GEA plans celebrations for National Day to honor past and future

Riyadh, September 18, 2023, The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) released details on the celebrations it will host around the Kingdom in honor of National Day, a holiday honoring the country's illustrious past and looking forward to a brighter future. The 93rd National Day will be honored on September 23 with a variety of shows, the most noteworthy of which is the "We're Racing Dreams" air show over Riyadh, Taif, Al-Baha, Asir, and Tabuk, headed by the Kingdom's flag. On September 20 and September 27, similar displays will be held over the northern corniche of Jeddah and the corniche of Khobar, respectively. The Saudi Broadcasting Authority will broadcast the main show from the National Day celebrations live on the Saudi channel, as will the Presidency of the Saudi Royal Guard, the Presidency of State Security, the Ministries of Defense, Interior, and National Guard, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Matarat Holding, the Saudi Air Navigation Services, the Saudi Aviation Club, SAUDIA Airlines, and Flynas.

There will also be musical performances by the Saudi Royal Guard, the Ministry of the National Guard, and the General Directorate of Border Guards, and a military parade including military equipment and led by horses will cover more than a kilometer as part of the event.

The Ministry of the Interior is planning "Pride of the Nation 2" after the first event was so well received. The Ministry of National Security's initiatives to construct sophisticated security systems and improve its capabilities and services will be discussed during the event. From September 21–24, this gathering will be held at Riyadh Front.

At around 15 various places across the Kingdom, including Boulevard Riyadh City, the Art Promenade in Jeddah, King Abdullah Park in Dammam, King Abdullah Environmental Park in Al-Ahsa, and King Abdullah National Park in Buraydah, GEA will launch spectacular fireworks displays to celebrate this momentous anniversary.

In addition, at 9 o'clock on Saturday night, the skies of Riyadh will be illuminated by a drone light show depicting the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the Saudi flag.
