General Authority of Roads joins global road exhibition in Czech Republic

Riyadh, October 01, 2023, The General Authority of Roads is actively participating in the prestigious World Roads Exhibition held in the Czech Republic, which serves as a global platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, extensive research, and scientific advancements within the international road sector. Leading this initiative is a distinguished delegation led by Mr. Badr Aldulami, the Acting CEO of the General Authority of Roads, accompanied by several other prominent leaders from the Authority.


This participation signifies the Authority's commitment to fostering collaborations with international entities associated with the road sector while spotlighting the compelling investment prospects within the Kingdom's road infrastructure. The event also provides a valuable opportunity for the delegation to engage in bilateral discussions with transport ministers and key figures in the road sector. Additionally, the delegation will embark on visits to various road sector-related centers, sites, and companies to facilitate knowledge exchange and explore significant industry experiences.


Furthermore, the delegation aims to showcase pivotal technologies and research studies that have the potential to revolutionize the road sector. The World Roads Exhibition spans a duration of six days, commencing on the 1st of October and concluding on the 6th, taking place in the beautiful city of Prague, Czech Republic.


Notably, the General Authority of Roads has established an independent pavilion at the exhibition, where it highlights the National Strategy for Transportation and Logistics, a strategic vision launched by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince in mid-2021. This visionary strategy seeks to position the Kingdom as a global logistics powerhouse, connecting continents. Furthermore, the Authority will use this platform to present its comprehensive road sector strategy, which prioritizes safety, quality, and managing traffic density. The pavilion will also serve as a showcase for a myriad of technological innovations, research studies, and scientific endeavors within the road sector.


It's essential to mention that the General Authority of Roads was established in 2022 by the Cabinet with the primary objective of regulating and overseeing the road sector. As part of its organizational responsibilities, the Authority proudly represents the Kingdom in international exhibitions and conferences dedicated to the road sector, further strengthening its global presence and influence in the industry.
