The unveiling of the redesigned GV80 and GV80 Coupe by Genesis at an exclusive event in Seoul Wave Art Center marked a significant moment for the brand, showcasing its fusion of tradition and innovation along with a commitment to exceptional design and hospitality.
Genesis introduced these new models to regional representatives and correspondents, highlighting the Korean automotive prowess tailored for the Middle East audience. The event provided not just a showcase but an immersive experience, embodying Korean hospitality, known as ‘Son-nim,’ which is an integral part of Genesis' identity.
The GV80, Genesis’ flagship SUV, has seen remarkable success globally since its debut in January 2020, with over 170,000 units sold in the luxury SUV market. The enhanced GV80 represents the brand’s first model change in over three years, featuring a comprehensive interior redesign with new convenience features aimed at elevating the in-car experience for comfort and safety.
On the other hand, the brand-new luxury GV80 Coupe exemplifies Genesis' design philosophy of “Athletic Elegance.” With its distinctive design package, dynamic exterior, and sporty, high-tech interior complemented by a powerful 3.5-liter gasoline turbo 48V electric supercharger (e-S/C) engine, the GV80 Coupe has garnered worldwide attention.
Omar Al-Zubaidi, CEO of Genesis Motors Middle East and Africa, expressed excitement about these new releases and their significance for customers in the region. The redesigned GV80 boasts refined and robust exterior features, including a newly designed Two-Line Crest Grille, Two-Line headlamps with MLA technology, larger air intakes, and a distinctive V-shape chrome trim at the rear, among other design elements. The interior offers an elegant ambiance with advanced technology, quality materials, and design enhancements for comfort and luxury.
The GV80 Coupe, on the other hand, combines practicality with sportiness, inheriting the base model's design and performance while offering a dynamic coupe silhouette. It features a high-performance image, advanced exterior design elements, and a spacious and personalized interior.
Both models are equipped with advanced driving technologies, improved safety features, and cutting-edge convenience functionalities, ensuring a smooth and comfortable driving experience for customers. The new Genesis GV80 and GV80 Coupe models will be available in the Middle East region starting May 2024 through respective distributors.
