Global Smart City Forum in Riyadh unites mayors, experts from 40 countries

Riyadh, January 23, 2024, Mayors from cities worldwide, accompanied by data and artificial intelligence experts, digital solution specialists, smart city engineers, investors, and economic policymakers representing 40 countries, are set to convene in Riyadh for the Global Smart City Forum organized by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). Themed "A Better Life," this inaugural global forum, scheduled for February 12 and 13, 2024, at The Arena Riyadh Venue, aspires to craft an ambitious vision for the future of cities through the application of smart solutions.

With a lineup of 80 international speakers, the forum aims to delve comprehensively into the future of smart cities, concentrating on aiding global governments in adopting innovative models for smart solutions. These solutions are pivotal in enhancing efficiency, promoting environmental sustainability, and elevating the quality of life for urban residents.

At its core, the forum emphasizes human development, urging entrepreneurs to invest in intelligent solutions that foster innovation and strike a balance between human requirements and the economic prosperity of cities. This overarching vision seeks to establish a more sustainable, innovative, and stable environment for human societies.

The forum is expected to feature sessions and workshops involving city mayors, a select group of international experts in building and planning smart cities, investors, leading universities, innovators, global economic policymakers, international organizations, and non-profit institutions. These engagements will facilitate dialogues on the future of smart cities, address challenges in their infrastructure, and devise innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the global urban population.
