GOSI initiates relief for employers facing fines, easing financial burdens

Riyadh, March 02, 2024, The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) has taken a proactive step by launching an initiative aimed at alleviating financial burdens on employers facing fines due to delayed payments or other violations. This initiative is part of GOSI's broader efforts to rectify the standing of entities in violation, address outstanding debts, mitigate financial repercussions, and ensure compliance with insurance obligations, thereby safeguarding the rights of both employees and employers.

According to GOSI, the initiative provides a grace period of six months, commencing on March 3, 2024, during which social insurance subscribers can avail themselves of this opportunity. The primary objective is to lighten the load on companies burdened with fines and motivate them to rectify their situations, ultimately fostering adherence to insurance regulations. In a significant move, employers will be completely exempted from paying fines if they fulfill their commitment to settle the entire insurance subscription dues.

GOSI has actively encouraged all employers grappling with fines to seize this opportunity by applying through the organization's account on the "My Insurance Business" platform. The application process involves straightforward steps, providing a user-friendly avenue for employers to benefit from this initiative. This initiative not only aims to provide financial relief but also serves as a catalyst for enhanced compliance within the business community, promoting a healthier and more responsible business environment.
