Sabya, April 26, 2024, Today, Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the governor of Jazan region, inaugurated the 20th annual Mango and Tropical Fruits Festival in Sabya Governorate. The festival, a celebration of the region's agricultural richness, showcased a variety of mangoes and tropical fruits grown by 60 local farmers.
During the event, Prince Mohammed bin Nasser and attendees explored the mango exhibition, where the best varieties of mangoes, as well as other tropical fruits like papaya, bananas, figs, and guava, were on display. Additionally, a specialized exhibition featuring government departments was organized to introduce farmers and visitors to the various support programs and services aimed at fostering the development and sustainability of agriculture in the region.
The festival's primary objective is to harness the agricultural potential of the Jazan region and provide support to local farmers to enhance their production of agricultural products with high economic viability. Through initiatives like the Mango and Tropical Fruits Festival, the region seeks to promote agricultural innovation, economic growth, and sustainability in the agricultural sector.
