Madinah, April 18, 2024, The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque revealed that the Prophet's Mosque hosted an impressive 5,548,288 worshippers during the past week. This significant turnout was facilitated by the provision of integrated and high-quality services, ensuring a seamless and efficient prayer experience for visitors.
According to statistics released by the authority, 677,687 individuals visited the revered tomb of Prophet Mohammed, while 259,944 worshippers performed prayers at Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa, following well-organized procedures that manage crowd movements and schedule optional prayers for both men and women.
The report further detailed the services provided to various segments of visitors, highlighting that 9,172 elderly and disabled individuals benefited from specialized assistance during their visit. Additionally, 8,196 visitors received guidance services, while 106,477 availed translation services. Furthermore, 1,787 individuals sought information at the Prophet's Mosque library, indicating a diverse range of support available to visitors.
The authority's efforts extended to enhancing visitor experiences through the distribution of 213,187 gifts and providing transportation services to 45,146 individuals. Moreover, the mosque's corridors dedicated to fasting individuals witnessed the distribution of 180,880 bottles of Zamzam water and 52,808 Iftar meals, catering to the needs of those observing fasting during their visit.
