Makkah, April 05, 2024, The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has achieved a remarkable milestone by delivering the sermon of the fourth and final Friday prayer in Ramadan through its digital platforms and smart applications.
Led by Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the president of the General Presidency, the sermon was translated into 14 languages, reaching an impressive audience of nearly half a billion Muslims worldwide. This accomplishment adds to the millions of worshippers and pilgrims who were able to participate in the Friday prayer at the Grand Mosque.
The digital platforms offered an array of 42 services for beneficiaries, marking a record in the history of this relatively new specialized religious apparatus of the Two Holy Mosques. These services were distributed as follows: 13 through the General Presidency's electronic gate, four services via the Manarat Al-Haramain digital platform, 13 services through the Library of Al Masjid Al Haram website, 10 services through the Alharamain application, and two services through the Holy Quran app.
This achievement highlights the General Presidency's commitment to utilizing technology to enhance access to religious services and connect with Muslims worldwide. The diverse range of services provided through digital platforms reflects a forward-thinking approach to cater to the needs of worshippers and ensure a meaningful and inclusive religious experience.
