Makkah, March 10, 2024, The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has affirmed the preparedness of the mataf (circumambulation track) zone to welcome Umrah pilgrims during Ramadan 1445 Hijri, outlining meticulous organizational strategies and top-tier services slated for visitors and pilgrims. Underscoring collaborative endeavors with stakeholders, the presidency underscored concerted efforts to furnish essential amenities and streamline access points and passageways leading to the mataf area, ensuring optimal comfort for Umrah participants while respecting the area's capacity limits.
Moreover, it was emphasized that the entirety of the space has been earmarked for tawaf (the ritual circumambulation), alongside the designation of multiple entry points and principal gates facilitating access to the tawaf vicinity, including the King Abdulaziz Gate, Al-Umrah Gate, and Al-Salam Gate. Additionally, specific gates have been designated to handle emergencies and cater to the needs of Umrah pilgrims, ensuring comprehensive support services throughout their spiritual journey.
