DOHA — The Saudi Arabian national football team, also known as the Green Falcons, arrived in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Sunday evening, to embark on the fourth phase of their preparation for the upcoming 2023 Asian Cup, scheduled to take place in Qatar in January 2024.
Set to hold a training camp at the Sealine Resort from December 31 to January 11, the Green Falcons will utilize this period to fine-tune their preparations. During the camp, the team is scheduled to engage in three friendly matches: against Lebanon on January 4, Palestine on January 9, and Hong Kong on January 10.
Upon their arrival at Hamad International Airport, the Asian Cup 2023 Organizing Committee extended a warm welcome to the Saudi delegation. Yasser Al-Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), expressed gratitude for the committee's reception and hospitality.
The national team, led by Yasser Al-Misehal, departed from Riyadh on Sunday morning from King Khalid International Airport, marking the beginning of their journey for the preparatory camp.
To kick off their preparations, the Green Falcons are scheduled to conduct their first training session on Sunday evening at the Sealine Resort's football field. This camp signifies a crucial phase in the team's journey as they gear up for the 2023 Asian Cup, representing Saudi Arabia on the international football stage.
