Jeddah, February 18, 2024, During the 37th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, held discussions yesterday with Muhammad Al-Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
The meeting entailed a comprehensive review of the current partnership between the two entities, acknowledging IsDB's substantial financial support to Guinea-Bissau, surpassing $74 million.
Al-Jasser reiterated IsDB's commitment to bolstering Guinea-Bissau's development initiatives, particularly in enhancing its transportation networks, infrastructure, and agricultural sectors. This pledge reflects IsDB's dedication to fostering sustainable and transformative growth in the country.
