Hail Region Governor emphasizes Saudi commitment to sports, including rally

Hail, January 23, 2024, The Governor of the Hail Region and Chairman of the Hail Region Development Authority, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, emphasized the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to athletes and various sporting events, including the upcoming Hail Toyota International Rally 2024.

In his capacity as the Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the rally, Prince Abdulaziz expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for their steadfast support of sports and athletes.

Prince Abdulaziz acknowledged the collaborative efforts of all partners involved in the forthcoming rally, recognizing the Minister of Sport and the president of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) for their dedication to the event's success.

He extended a warm welcome to international athletes preparing for the 19th edition of the Hail Toyota International Rally, scheduled to commence on February 8. The rally holds significance as the inaugural event of the FIM Bajas World Cup 2024.

Highlighting the Kingdom's prominent role in car racing, Prince Abdulaziz emphasized the nation's capability to host and organize major car and motorcycle races on a global scale through the upcoming rally. He underscored the event's positive impact on the Kingdom's cultural, historical, and tourism standing, with accompanying activities held during the rally.

Prince Abdulaziz specifically noted the cultural and entertainment activities, as well as programs and competitions for children, showcasing the rich heritage, culture, creativity, and innovation of the region and the country.

Furthermore, the prince commended the efforts of security agencies ensuring the safety and security of all participants. He acknowledged the vital role played by security personnel, with the backing of the Kingdom's leadership and the Minister of Interior.

Prince Abdulaziz also praised the integrated performance of various government agencies and the private sector, both within and outside the Hail region. He emphasized the dedication of the rally's executive management and organizing committee members to achieving high organizational standards.
