Hail Toyota International Rally attendees explore UNESCO World Heritage sites

Hail, February 11, 2024, Attendees of the Hail Toyota International Rally have been eagerly immersing themselves in the exploration of the region's rich archaeological landmarks, particularly the renowned Shuwaymis and Jubbah sites, both inscribed on UNESCO's prestigious World Heritage List. These sites consistently draw in a large number of tourists, adding a cultural dimension to the rally experience.

The Hail region stands as a testament to the diverse civilizations that have thrived in the Arabian Peninsula throughout history. Its wealth of heritage sites, adorned with intricate rock inscriptions depicting human and animal figures, spans an impressive 10,000 years.

Among the favored destinations, Jubbah holds a special allure for guests, located approximately 100 kilometers north of Hail. Here, the prominent Jabel Umm Sinman hill range, once encircled by a now-vanished lake, served as a crucial freshwater source for inhabitants and wildlife in the southern reaches of the Great Nafud Desert.

Meanwhile, Shuwaymis, positioned some 250 kilometers southeast of Hail, stands as a veritable open-air museum of natural history on a grand scale. Encompassing over 50 square kilometers, Shuwaymis boasts nine caves and 12 volcanic craters, inviting visitors to marvel at the region's geological marvels.
