Surabaya, May 29, 2024." After making the decision to start their married life together, two Indonesian pilgrims opted to attend the Hajj. They were waiting for their flight to Jeddah in the terminal of Surabaya International Airport, their cheeks displaying an expression of delight, anticipation, and tears of joy as they repeated prayers and lifted their hands. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) interviewed two pilgrims, Muhammad Shafi'i and Rafah Nuri, who stated, "We are very excited about the Hajj and the immense spirituality that overwhelms us at the thought of seeing the holy sites and visiting the Prophet's Mosque. We are unable to define it. Muslims who are physically and financially able to perform the Hajj have a fundamental obligation to fulfill it. Rather than incurring the costs associated with a wedding, we made the decision to do Hajj instead.

"It is an opportunity to begin a new life based on faith and piety, filled with goodness, by sharing prayers, supplications, and recollections in sacred sites," they remarked. That is the opportunity. Through the Makkah Route Initiative, which allowed them to fulfill all of the requirements in the shortest amount of time possible, they expressed their gratitude for the Kingdom's amenities." We started by completing the procedures and campaign requirements and taking religious lessons in the mosque on how to perform the Hajj rituals," they said, expressing their gratitude to the Saudi government for its care and dedication in serving the guests of Allah and facilitating their pilgrimage.
