By helping pilgrims who are doing the Hajj from their home countries, the Makkah Route Initiative broadens Saudi Arabia's offerings to include services outside its customary borders and entry ports. To expedite the Hajj procedures that occur at airports in the nations that host the pilgrimage, the Ministry of Interior created the Makkah Route Initiative as a component of the Pilgrim Experience Program, which is a part of Saudi Vision 2030. When the Makkah Route Initiative terminal opened at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, pilgrims from Bangladesh thanked Saudi Arabia for making the Hajj process easier.
