The Makkah Route Initiative assists pilgrims in making the Hajj from their home countries, expanding Saudi Arabia's amenities.

The project aims to expedite Hajj procedures at airports in recipient nations, hence streamlining pilgrims' travels.

The program has received praise from Bangladeshi pilgrims for its creative use of technology and for providing a variety of services, such as sorting and labeling luggage.

Dhaka, May 28, 2024. By helping pilgrims who are doing the Hajj from their home countries, the Makkah Route Initiative broadens Saudi Arabia's offerings to include services outside its customary borders and entry ports. To expedite the Hajj procedures that occur at airports in the nations that host the pilgrimage, the Ministry of Interior created the Makkah Route Initiative as a component of the Pilgrim Experience Program, which is a part of Saudi Vision 2030. When the Makkah Route Initiative terminal opened at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, pilgrims from Bangladesh thanked Saudi Arabia for making the Hajj process easier. The travelers themselves applauded Saudi Arabia for using cutting-edge technologies to facilitate their travels. The pilgrims gave thanks for the many services that were rendered to them. One of these services was the sorting and tagging of luggage, which involved registering bags at the airports of departure in the beneficiary nations with the names of the pilgrims. Bangladeshi pilgrims have reported that the Makkah Route Initiative uses state-of-the-art technologies to improve the quality of services offered to pilgrims every year. The initiative's efforts to expedite their entry into Saudi Arabia and guarantee a seamless arrival at their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah were acknowledged with thanks.
