The graduation party held by the Saudi Club at Harvard University, where graduates from Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University, and Tufts University were hosted, took place Friday night. Mohammed Khashaan, the Director of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Saudi Embassy in the United States, attended the event on the Harvard campus in Boston. During the event, Khashaan made a point of noting the parallels that exist between the current significant cohort of Saudi graduates from leading institutions in the United States and the transitions that are taking place as a result of Saudi Vision 2030. In addition to pointing out that the Kingdom is experiencing economic, industrial, and environmental growth, he emphasized the importance of investing in the gifted individuals of the nation.
He also mentioned that the Kingdom is experiencing new opportunities for its citizens to follow their ambitions and contribute to the future of the nation and the globe. As an additional point of interest, Michael Ratney, the United States Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, delivered a recorded message in which he extended his congratulations to the students who had graduated and expressed gratitude to the Saudi Club for holding this event to celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of the students throughout this academic year.
Although I have only been in Saudi Arabia for a year, the opportunities for both my business and personal life have never become more favorable. The envoy from the United States noted that although your nation possesses a great deal of resources, its most valuable asset is its human capital. He went on to talk about the great diversity that he has witnessed in a variety of businesses, such as the filmmaking industry, the growth of video games, and space flight and expressed his satisfaction in being able to observe advancement in these areas. At the end of the event, Khashaan presented awards to the sixty students who had graduated this year.
