Riyadh, October 5, 2024 — In a commendable display of social responsibility, the Health Endowment Fund has officially launched the fourth edition of its "Private Health Sector Giving" initiative, coinciding with the annual National Day celebrations. This initiative underscores the private health sector's commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility and addressing pressing health issues within the community.

This year's edition is particularly focused on mental health, recognizing the increasing importance of mental well-being in overall health. Eight specialized organizations dedicated to mental health services will participate in the initiative, collectively providing 3,200 free psychological consultations to individuals in need throughout the Kingdom. This targeted approach not only aims to alleviate the financial burden on patients but also to raise awareness about mental health issues and the importance of seeking help.

The "Private Health Sector Giving" initiative was established in response to the private sector's eagerness to contribute positively to the healthcare system. It reflects ongoing efforts by the Health Endowment Fund, in collaboration with private healthcare entities, to foster a culture of social responsibility. Each year, the initiative highlights a different medical field, thereby diversifying the services offered to the community and addressing various health concerns.

In previous editions, the initiative successfully facilitated over 7,000 free medical procedures, made possible by the generous contributions of 25 private healthcare institutions. These past efforts have laid a strong foundation for the current focus on mental health, demonstrating the private sector’s capacity to make a meaningful impact on public health.

The initiative is closely aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the quality of life for citizens and improve healthcare services across the nation. By providing free medical consultations and services, the Health Endowment Fund and participating organizations are taking significant steps toward promoting health equity and supporting the well-being of the community. Through this collaborative effort, the initiative seeks not only to address immediate health needs but also to foster a healthier, more resilient society.
