Holy Makkah Municipality Holds Meeting to Develop Services for Hajj Season of 1446 AH


Committee Meeting for Hajj Preparation: The General Directorate of the Holy Makkah Municipality held its first meeting of the Committee for Developing and Coordinating Integrated Services for the 1446 AH Hajj season, chaired by Eng. Khalid bin Abdullah Sindi.


Review and Planning: The meeting reviewed recommendations from the previous 1445 AH Hajj season, focusing on enhancing positive aspects, addressing issues, and planning for completed and pending work with clear implementation timelines.


Focus on Pilgrim Experience: The municipality emphasized early preparation to ensure a safe and comfortable Hajj experience, with centralized coordination to enhance infrastructure and service quality in line with Saudi Arabia's commitment to top-notch pilgrimage services.


Makkah, August 30, 2024 – The General Directorate of the Holy Makkah Municipality has recently convened the inaugural meeting of the Committee for Developing and Coordinating Integrated Services on Roads and Pedestrian Rest Areas in the Holy Sites. This strategic gathering marks the beginning of preparations for the upcoming Hajj season of 1446 AH.


The meeting was chaired by Eng. Khalid bin Abdullah Sindi, Deputy Secretary for Holy Capital for Hajj and Umrah, and saw participation from key representatives involved in Hajj operations. This collaborative effort aims to ensure a well-coordinated approach to managing essential services for the influx of pilgrims during the Hajj season.


During the session, the committee reviewed and evaluated the recommendations from the previous Hajj season of 1445 AH. The discussions were focused on enhancing the positive aspects of last year's operations while addressing any challenges that were observed. Attention was given to both completed and pending work, with efforts directed towards establishing clear implementation timelines and developing effective solutions and recommendations for the 1446 AH Hajj season.


The municipality emphasized that this meeting is part of its proactive strategy to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for pilgrims. The organization and coordination of essential services within the Holy Sites are being managed centrally to ensure the infrastructure's readiness and to enhance the quality of services provided.
