Kuwait, December 01, 2024 – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, arrived today in the State of Kuwait at the head of the Saudi delegation for the 45th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The visit, in line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening ties with its Gulf neighbors and advancing regional cooperation within the GCC framework.
Upon his arrival at Kuwait International Airport, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was warmly received by Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The delegation was also greeted by the GCC Secretary General, Jasem Albudaiwi, further emphasizing the significance of the Crown Prince's visit and the importance of the summit. The Amir of Kuwait and the Crown Prince exchanged pleasantries and shook hands with the accompanying dignitaries from both sides, marking the beginning of the high-level talks aimed at reinforcing the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, as well as the broader Gulf region.
Following the airport reception, the Amir of Kuwait and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman proceeded to Bayan Palace, where the GCC summit will take place.
