Jeddah, March 21, 2025 – The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), part of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, hosted a delegation from Uzbekistan’s AgroBank and SmartBank to discuss key financial initiatives.


Talks focused on new financing lines, advisory support for sukuk issuance, mortgage financing strategies, and the potential listing of SmartBank shares. The delegation also examined the current state and future prospects of Uzbekistan’s banking sector, particularly the development of Islamic banking regulations.


The ICD reaffirmed its commitment to studying Uzbekistan’s evolving Islamic finance framework, highlighting the collaboration’s role in fostering growth and innovation in the country’s banking sector.
