Doha, September 27, 2023, The Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has officially embraced the "Hajj Routes" Program aimed at preserving historical mosques. This initiative, presented by the Ministry of Culture through the National Committee for Education, Culture, and Science, gained approval during the 12th Conference of Ministers of Culture in the Islamic World. The conference, held in Qatar to commemorate Doha as the 2021 Capital of Islamic Culture for the Arab region, highlighted ICESCO's commitment to advancing cultural endeavors, aligning with its strategic objectives. Moreover, the conference covered a comprehensive review of ICESCO's efforts in supporting cultural initiatives, including discussions on the Heritage Committee's report and cultural policy guidelines.
