The third annual Icons of Porsche festival is gearing up to showcase a range of exciting highlights, including a world premiere, the largest gathering of classic Porsches, and a spectacular supercar showcase featuring the Mission X hypercar concept. This year's event, held under the theme "Dream in Full Colour," is dedicated to celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Porsche.
Returning to Dubai Design District (D3) with Dubai's stunning skyline as a backdrop, Icons of Porsche aims to build on the success of last year's event, which attracted over 15,000 visitors. The festival promises to be a treat not only for Porsche enthusiasts but also for all automotive enthusiasts and their families.
Dr. Manfred Bräunl, CEO of Porsche Middle East and Africa, emphasized the event's significance, saying, "Icons of Porsche showcases the passion of the Porsche community in the Middle East and has become an internationally recognized event. Last year, we had the honor of hosting Dr. Wolfgang Porsche, Porsche CEO Dr. Oliver Blume, and racing legends like Mark Webber, Timo Bernhard, and six-time Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx. This year, we aim to surpass expectations with the debut of several new Porsche models never seen in the region, including the global premiere of the new Panamera, along with more celebrities, race drivers, and entertainment for the entire family."
The "Dream in Full Colour" theme pays homage to Porsche's fearless innovation by showcasing the vibrant color palettes the brand has employed over the decades, featuring hues like Speed Yellow, Ruby Stone, Lava Orange, and Neptune Blue. The event will also introduce the Mission X Concept, a breathtaking hypercar reimagining that Porsche envisions as the fastest road-legal vehicle to conquer the Nürburgring Nordschleife, boasting an impressive power-to-weight ratio and formidable downforce.
Icons of Porsche won't just be a haven for classic Porsche enthusiasts; it will also feature art installations by renowned artists, live performances by local musicians, appearances by celebrities, a variety of culinary delights, and a dedicated Porsche merchandise pavilion offering lifestyle items for the whole family.
In addition to celebrating Porsche's 75th Anniversary, this year marks the 60th Anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911 and the 100th Anniversary of 'The 24 Hours of Le Mans.' Attendees can look forward to seeing historic Le Mans racing cars like the 917 KH 'Renntaxi' and the Porsche RS Spyder.
This year's Icons of Porsche promises to be an unforgettable celebration of automotive excellence and Porsche's rich history, attracting enthusiasts and families alike.
