Riyadh, January 8, 2024, Since the beginning of 2021, the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority has been actively involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of over 220 local wild animals, many of which are listed as endangered species. This ongoing rehabilitation process aims to achieve a balance between various species and the surrounding vegetation cover.
The diverse range of wild animals that have undergone rehabilitation includes Arabian sand gazelle, mountain gazelle, Arabian oryx, Nubian ibex, and Asian bustard. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to preserve and protect endangered species while contributing to the overall health of the ecosystem.
