There were an estimated 200,000 worshippers in attendance when Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Budair gave the Friday sermon at the King Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.
He asked the assembly to refrain from division and isolation in their interactions and stressed the significance of Muslim unity.
Sheikh Al-Budair stressed the need of knowledge, moderation, and equilibrium in addressing issues facing the Muslim community and cautioned against the spread of false information, corruption, atheism, and division.
"Islamabad, August 10, 2024." Today in the King Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, the Friday sermon was given by Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Budair, the Imam and Khatib of the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. There were a large number of followers—200,000 or so, it was estimated.
Sheikh Al-Budair advised the assembly to refrain from division and hostility in their dealings with one another and stressed the need of Muslim unity. He urged cooperation in issues of justice and piety and highlighted the brotherly bond that Muslims had formed with one another as a result of their faith.
A strong warning was given by Sheikh Al-Budair to anyone involved in the spread of misinformation, corruption, atheism, or divisiveness. In addressing the issues that the Muslim community faces, he stressed the importance of discernment, balance, and moderation.
In his portrayal, mercy was described as a noble attribute and an essential act of worship. He reminded everyone present that this is an essential Islamic principle and urged them to abstain from hurting other people. He underlined that safeguarding human life is a fundamental Islamic precept and a serious issue. This is really crucial, he said.
