Dhaka, March 18, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has successfully carried out a significant food aid distribution event in the Jashore District of Bangladesh. On Saturday, the Centre distributed food baskets to 500 individuals, representing 100 families, in an effort to provide much-needed support during the holy month of Ramadan. This humanitarian initiative is part of the broader "Etaam" Ramadan Food Basket Distribution Project for the year 1446 AH, aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by vulnerable communities.
The event is a continuation of KSrelief’s commitment to addressing food insecurity and poverty across the globe, particularly during Ramadan, a time when many are in greater need. As one of the most notable humanitarian organizations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, KSrelief has been actively involved in delivering aid to marginalized populations in various countries, including Bangladesh, where poverty rates and food insecurity remain persistent challenges.
The food baskets distributed in Jashore contained a variety of essential items to support the nutritional needs of the recipients, ensuring that families have enough provisions to break their fasts during the holy month. Each basket was carefully curated to provide a balance of staple foods such as rice, lentils, sugar, oil, and dates, all of which are vital for maintaining a balanced diet during Ramadan.
This initiative is part of KSrelief’s broader strategy to extend humanitarian assistance to those in need, particularly during critical times like Ramadan, when the demand for such aid is heightened. Through these ongoing efforts, KSrelief continues to embody the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian vision of providing relief and support to vulnerable populations around the world, fostering a sense of solidarity and compassion in line with the values of the holy month.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre remains committed to enhancing its humanitarian footprint across the globe, with ongoing and future projects designed to provide relief to those facing crises and hardship, ultimately striving to improve the quality of life for individuals in need.
