In Beijing 2024, Saudi Arabia opens its pavilion at the world's second-largest book fair.

- The Kingdom's participation aims to showcase their cultural heritage, promote cultural dialogue, and strengthen bilateral relations with China.
Saudi Arabia recently inaugurated their pavilion at the Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) in China.

The Saudi Arabian pavilion at the Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) in China was recently opened.


Members of the Saudi delegation are drawn from a range of commissions and associations that are involved in investment, history, literature, and culinary arts.


Through its participation, the Kingdom hopes to enhance bilateral ties with China, boost cultural exchange, and highlight its rich cultural legacy.



"The 20th of June, 2024, Beijing" The pavilion that will represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) in China, where we will be the honored guest, was recently inaugurated. It will take place in Beijing from June 19–23. The Saudi delegation is led by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission. Representatives from the Saudi Publishers Association, the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, the Ministry of Investment, the Heritage Commission, and the Culinary Arts Commission are among the other members of the delegation that are present.


Saudi Arabia's involvement in the occasion is to highlight the possibility for investment in the culture sector while showcasing the nation's cultural legacy to Chinese audiences. The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission's Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed Hasan Alwan, adds that the Kingdom's involvement aims to strengthen bilateral relations, promote cooperation in the arts and literature, and encourage cross-cultural communication. A comprehensive cultural program comprising talks, roundtable discussions, book and manuscript exhibitions, Kingdom objects, and traditional performing arts will be held within the Kingdom pavilion during the five-day festival.


The Kingdom organizes a special Saudi supper with local cuisine and entertainment from different areas. There will also be displays of Saudi clothing and a section honoring the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China. The Beijing International Book fair was established in 1986 and is currently the world's second-largest book fair. The group in charge of planning the event is the China National Publications Import & Export Group. It is regarded as the largest important book fair in China and Asia, drawing in over 2,600 exhibitors from one hundred different countries.
