Beirut, January 10, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued to make significant strides in Lebanon with its ongoing project aimed at enhancing healthcare services for Syrian refugees and the host communities in the Bebine area of Akkar Governorate. This project is part of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian efforts to support Syrian refugees and alleviate the suffering of vulnerable populations affected by the ongoing crisis.

During the month of December, a total of 2,689 patients received medical care at the Akkar-Bebnine Health Care Center, benefiting from 6,194 different healthcare services. These services were provided through a comprehensive range of programs, including pharmacy services, laboratory tests, nursing care, and specialized community and psychological health support. The center's multifaceted approach is designed to address the diverse healthcare needs of both the local Lebanese population and the large number of Syrian refugees who have sought shelter in the region.

Among the patients who visited the health center, 68% were women, reflecting the program's emphasis on addressing the unique healthcare needs of women and children in refugee communities. Furthermore, 51% of the patients were Syrian refugees, underscoring the critical role that this healthcare initiative plays in supporting displaced individuals who continue to face challenging living conditions.

This initiative is a part of KSrelief's ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees across various sectors, including healthcare, food security, education, and psychological support. By enhancing access to essential medical services, KSrelief helps to improve the well-being of those most affected by the conflict in Syria and its aftermath, offering vital support to both refugees and host communities in Lebanon.

Through such efforts, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reaffirms its dedication to alleviating human suffering and providing sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by Syrian refugees, highlighting KSrelief’s central role in addressing the long-term humanitarian needs in the region.
