San Salvador, January 29, 2025 – In a significant demonstration of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to global humanitarian efforts, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) recently concluded two impactful volunteer medical projects in San Salvador, the capital of the Republic of El Salvador. These projects, which took place from January 18 to 25, focused on providing specialized medical care in pediatric urology, orthopedics, and women's cancer surgery, addressing critical healthcare needs in the country.

Over the course of the week-long initiative, a team of 12 highly skilled medical volunteers, representing various specialties, worked tirelessly to perform surgeries for patients in need. The volunteer team successfully carried out 47 specialized surgeries in pediatric urology and orthopedics, providing much-needed treatment to children suffering from complex urological and orthopedic conditions. Additionally, the team performed 25 surgeries for women with cancer, offering hope and life-saving interventions to those affected by the disease.

KSrelief’s medical volunteer program aims to provide specialized healthcare to underserved populations in countries facing significant medical challenges. The successful execution of these two projects in El Salvador highlights the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities around the world by addressing critical healthcare needs. The surgeries, which were all completed with great success, represent a tangible example of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian and medical assistance in action.

The volunteer initiatives are part of a broader effort by KSrelief to send medical teams to regions in need, providing advanced medical care, improving health outcomes, and promoting well-being in countries where access to specialized healthcare is limited. Through these volunteer programs, KSrelief has consistently demonstrated its dedication to humanitarian values, offering practical support to patients and healthcare systems in countries around the world.

By leveraging the expertise of volunteer medical professionals, KSrelief has been able to make a meaningful impact in El Salvador, transforming the lives of many patients who would otherwise not have had access to such specialized care. These projects serve as a testament to Saudi Arabia's leadership in the global humanitarian sector, reaffirming its role as a key contributor to international relief and medical assistance efforts.
