In Hadhramaut, Yemen, KSrelief lays the cornerstone for 114 housing units.

KSrelief Foundation Stone Ceremony: On December 21, 2024, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) laid the foundation for a project to construct 114 housing units in Hadhramaut, Yemen, aimed at providing permanent shelter for families displaced by recent floods.

On Wednesday, December 21, 2024, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) initiated a significant step in its ongoing efforts to support the people of Yemen by laying the foundation stone for a new housing project in Hadhramaut Governorate. This project is part of the Kingdom’s broader commitment to addressing the humanitarian needs of Yemen’s displaced populations, particularly those affected by the devastating floods that have wreaked havoc in the region.

The housing project, which will consist of 114 housing units, is designed to provide displaced families with permanent, safe shelter. The initiative comes at a crucial time, as the region continues to grapple with the aftermath of catastrophic flooding, which has left many individuals and families without homes and struggling to rebuild their lives. The new homes will not only offer much-needed relief but will also significantly improve the living conditions of those affected, helping to restore a sense of stability and dignity for the displaced families.

The project is aligned with KSrelief’s strategic priorities, which focus on providing comprehensive humanitarian aid to vulnerable populations in Yemen. Since its establishment, KSrelief has been instrumental in coordinating large-scale relief efforts across the country, addressing not only the immediate needs of displaced families but also working toward long-term solutions to alleviate the suffering caused by the ongoing conflict and environmental disasters. By providing housing as part of its relief programs, KSrelief is taking a crucial step in contributing to the rebuilding process, helping families regain their footing in the wake of disaster.

This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to humanitarian action and reflects the Kingdom’s enduring support for the Yemeni people amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis. With KSrelief’s continued efforts in the region, the project will provide displaced families with more than just shelter; it will offer hope for a brighter, more secure future.
