The Zaatari Syrian Refugee Camp in Jordan received medical aid from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for 2,511 patients during the fourth week of July 2024.
With dedicated clinics for internal medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, gynecology, ear, nose, and throat, cardiology, ophthalmology, and diagnostic radiology, general medicine clinics treated and examined a total of 615 individuals. Additional services offered were x-rays, lab work, vaccinations, chronic disease medications, prescription processing, and guidance on health education for the benefit of the participants.
"August 4, 2024, in Amman. In the fourth week of July, 2,511 patients at the Zaatari Syrian refugee camp in Jordan received medical attention from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief).
A total of 615 people received medical attention and examinations from general medicine clinics. In the pediatric clinic, 278 children received care, while 110 adults were checked in the internal medicine clinic. In the dental clinic, there were 139 patients seen, compared to 297 in the emergency room. Additionally, 180 ladies made visits to the gynecological clinic. 47 patients with infections of the tonsils, sinuses, pharynx, and middle ear were treated at the ear, nose, and throat clinic. Twenty-six patients were seen in the cardiology clinic, twenty-eight in the eye clinic, and eighteen in the diagnostic radiology clinic.
Furthermore, a total of 968 laboratory tests were performed on 328 patients, and a total of 171 x-rays were performed on 110 patients. 211 people received treatment for chronic conditions at the immunization clinic, while 49 people received 131 vaccinations. 1,448 prescriptions were processed by the pharmacy, and 55 beneficiaries received advice from the health education section.
