Beirut, December 29, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued its vital work in Lebanon with the ongoing implementation of the Al-Amal Charitable Bakery Project in the Akkar Governorate and the Miniyeh District. This initiative, which forms part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian efforts, provides essential support to vulnerable communities in northern Lebanon, including Syrian and Palestinian refugees, as well as members of the Lebanese host population.
Last week, the project successfully distributed a total of 175,000 bags of bread to needy families, benefiting an estimated 125,000 individuals. The bread distribution is a crucial form of support, as it addresses food insecurity and provides a much-needed staple to families facing difficult economic conditions. The Al-Amal Charitable Bakery Project, through its consistent distribution efforts, aims to alleviate the hardships faced by displaced persons and vulnerable communities in the region.
This initiative is just one of many humanitarian efforts being carried out by KSrelief, the Kingdom’s official humanitarian arm. KSrelief continues to work tirelessly to provide relief to refugees and underserved populations across the Middle East and beyond, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s commitment to offering support to those in need, regardless of their nationality or background. The Al-Amal Charitable Bakery Project is an important example of the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian assistance, with its far-reaching impact improving the lives of thousands of families in Lebanon.
