Riyadh, January 1, 2025 – Since its inception on December 16, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) has seen an overwhelming response to its "Ithra Winter" series, attracting over 57,000 visitors. This multifaceted cultural initiative, which spans across all the center's facilities, offers a rich tapestry of artistic, musical, and interactive activities designed to engage audiences of all ages.
The event’s diverse program includes everything from live artistic and musical performances to hands-on workshops, interactive games, and vibrant craft exhibitions. Among the standout features in the grand hall is an exciting sports challenge program that incorporates cutting-edge technology. During one such activity, young Ahmed Al-Musnad, a promising football talent recently recruited by a top football club, was spotted showcasing impressive skills as he participated in a challenge against another player.
In addition to the sports challenges, the grand hall also features interactive play equipment created by the renowned Moment Factory studio. These activities incorporate body-movement-controlled games that use innovative tracking technology, offering visitors a truly immersive experience that combines technology and movement through collaborative multimedia platforms.
Outdoors, Ithra’s gardens provide a venue for artistic and handicraft workshops, where participants are guided through the creative process from concept to the final product. Meanwhile, the Sustainability Studio attracts nature and agriculture enthusiasts with its hands-on experiences, such as learning about aquaponics, crafting plantable seed paper, and exploring creative ways to use clay.
Beginning on January 2, the Energy Exhibition will host the much-anticipated "Science Week," a blend of science, storytelling, and humor, providing an educational yet entertaining experience for all attendees.
In addition to the cultural and educational programming, Ithra Winter also offers a range of international dining options, catering to various tastes and preferences through its selection of restaurants and cafés. Visitors can enjoy performances, explore family-friendly zones, and experience a celebration of cultural diversity that resonates with all ages and backgrounds.
