KSrelief launched a project to operate the National Blood Bank in Mogadishu, Somalia, benefiting 222 individuals in December 2024 through vital blood transfusion services.

Mogadishu, January 11, 2025 – In a continued effort to address critical health needs in Somalia, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully implemented a project to operate the National Blood Bank in Mogadishu, the capital of the Republic of Somalia. This project, which began in December 2024, has already benefitted 222 individuals who received vital blood transfusions, significantly contributing to the healthcare system in a country that faces numerous challenges in providing adequate medical services to its population.


The operation of the National Blood Bank is an essential component of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian mission to support health initiatives in regions affected by conflict, displacement, and natural disasters.
